It’s been awhile since we’ve visited the GFOM. Covid messed so much up. We had great trip back. Found small plate options adjusted to different options. We always show up without reservations and pray for patio seat. We’ve always gotten lucky. This time we noticed The Barker Lounge for the first time. I never remember hearing that many dogs while dining. In the future we might have to make real reservations on the inside to dine a bit more peacefully. As always though some of the best dining we seek out. I could have stayed here for hours. Loved absolutely everything. A friend recommended we eat here years ago. We finally did. We’ll be back.

Good Food on Montford has impressed me every time I've visited over the past five years. If Michelin stars were awarded for Charlotte restaurants this place would be on the first round. The steamed buns were my first addiction but have honestly eaten 50+ plates over six years at Good Food and never been disappointed. My newest favorite and 'must try' recommendation would easily be the carnitas tacos :)

We had the most amazing Valentine's Day dinner at GFoM. It was our first time visiting and the food and drinks blew us away! Our server, Jackie, was friendly and fast even though it was the end of what I'm sure was a very long, busy day for her. We will definitely be back for another date night!

Amazing tapas style food. The scallops, steamed bun and carnitas plates were my favorite. The lemon pound cake dessert is a Top 5 dessert for me ever. And they have espresso drinks! What’s not to love!

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner, with a very kind server who provided excellent service and recommended a wine that matched my preference well. The garganelli stood out as one of the best pasta dishes in town. If we hadn’t been so ambitious in trying many dishes for the two of us, we would’ve opted for the full size instead of the half. The green curry mussels were also delightful, and because there was a lot of curry sauce left, we felt the need for more naan bread (although we didn’t ask). Do you see the pattern here — carbs rule? ;)

Attended soft reopening and food and service were still great. Prompt service, mutiple dishes provided at the right pace and drinks also. Glad they are back!

We love this place!! So glad we found it. A great place to try unique eats, a foodies paradise! Outstanding service, amazingly flavorful and tasty plates with captivating texture in each. Classy and trendy atmosphere and ambiance just adds to the dining experience. Reasonably priced, but not a "cheap eats" place, this is top quality creative plates that presented well and tasted great. I would move here to be able to frequent this place.

Very trendy, delicious, and busy spot. Basically reservation only. We reserved outdoor seating but it was a cold day and they squeezed us in inside. Food was artfully prepared. Small portions but sooo good. We tried the fries, curry mussels, Korean bbq, drinks, cheesecake, cappuccino, and Larry's Buns. Very loud environment too, it was hard to hear ourselves talk. It's ok though, fits the vibe.

I had forgotten just how great Good Food on Montfort was! I don't think I've been here since 2015 (it was one of Charlotte's first trendy, edgy small plates restaurants), but it still ticked all the boxes for me. Food, service and vibe were all top notch! Our waiters were super friendly and attentive (they even brought us complimentary bubbly when we sat down in honor of my friend's birthday!). We shared four small plates - the mussels in a delicious green curry sauce (they have us two pieces of pita with that and I honestly wish we had gotten more - I could have sipped that stuff by itself!), the beet salad over whipped goat cheese (amazing), the pork belly bao buns and the mushrooms top with a quail egg (our favorite - very salty and lots of umami flavor). Finally, we finished with the chocolate bourbon cake with burnt caramel ice cream for dessert - absolutely phenomenal. The cake was warm, the caramel was sticky and the ice cream was refreshing. Perfection on a plate! Can't wait to come back again soon!
